Description
Provide coaching and technical support to Electrical personnel at operations, during breakdowns and on a daily basis.
Develop and implement electrical standards and procedures.
Audit installations and over inspect electrical maintenance.
Coordinate installation, upgrading, repairs and maintenance of equipment between operations.
Explore new technology and adopt industry best practices within Barberton Mines.
Ensure availability of emergency generators.
Analyse electrical consumption and promote energy efficiency.
Liaise with Eskom and suppliers.
Witness FAT tests to standard for new equipment (MV & LV) to be used on the Mine.
Requirements
NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate) with English literacy or N2 in Engineering studies
Completed formal Learnership programme prior to obtaining an Electrician artisan trade certificate as recognised by the MQA
Qualified with trade papers (section 13 or 26D)
Have a valid medium voltage certificate
Minimum 8 year’s experience as a supervisor within a mining environment.
Valid Certificate of physical fitness
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to communicate with people on different levels
Own Transport as position requires standby
