Most people will hear a baby beaver crying for its mother, Street Fighter fans hear something else entirely...


We won’t split hairs over where it specifically lands on the top Street Fighter bangers of all time, but “You Blow My Mind,” Dudley’s theme music from Third Strike is easily one of the most memorable and beloved tracks in the franchise’s three and a half decade long audio library.






In no small part that’s thanks to the somewhat peculiar first few notes that capture attention and lead us into the jazzy groove. Pinpointing exactly what instrument said notes are played on can be difficult, as it turns out they’re actually the cries of a baby beaver.











Okay, maybe the studio recording wasn’t done with a beaver, but someone posted a video on X of one of these cute little mammals and it just so happens to hit the exact, unmistakable first notes of You Blow My Mind.
