New Street Fighter 6 information teased for tomorrow's Capcom Highlights event

It’s been a bit over nine months since Street Fighter 6 first hit the scene, and new content has continued to roll out slowly but fairly steadily.

We already knew about the Capcom Highlights event taking place now in less than 24 hours, and it seems like there will indeed be something new for Street Fighter 6 fans there.

The Japanese X/Twitter account for Street Fighter’s PR page recently shared a post alluding to some sort of reveal taking place during the broadcast.

When translating the post, they specifically mention “latest and additional information” for SF6 will be shown when the previous official English channels just mentioned “latest info” on their games.

Now, we still don’t think Capcom is going to reveal Akuma as the next DLC character there considering they just skipped out on showing anything just a few weeks ago at Capcom Cup X, so don’t go getting your hopes up for that.

Instead, it’s likely that any sort of new information could pertain to new avatar costumes, the start or structure of the Capcom Pro Tour 2024 and / or some sort of other update coming to the game soon.

The Buckler’s Boot Camp page for SF6 does show new Hub Shop items coming on March 22 that haven’t been revealed yet, so that’s certainly a decent possibility, even if it isn’t the most exciting.

Day 2 of the Capcom Highlights showcase is set to take place Monday, March 11, at 3 p.m. PT, where SF6 will share the screentime with Exoprimal, Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Now, so the fighting game segment will likely only be 5 minutes long at most.

We’ll see what it is exactly they have to show not that long from now.
