Granblue Fantasy first kicked off its grand adventure back in March 2014 and has since grown and split off across multiple spin-offs and adaptations, including multiple fighting games now.
Cygames held their special 10th anniversary broadcast earlier today showcasing a bunch of stuff for the franchise’s big birthday including releasing a teaser trailer for the next two DLC characters for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
Though their identities had already been revealed, we now get to see the in-game debut of the “Indomitable Knight” Vane and “Undying Blue” Beatrix in Rising through their pre-battle intros.
They do show a brief gameplay clash of a divekick from Beatrix colliding with Vane’s uppercut slash, but it seems we’ll be waiting a bit longer for a full gameplay trailer — before Evo Japan 2024 for Vane at least.
Following the release of Lucilius and Nier Automata’s 2B, Vane will be next in line since he’s scheduled to drop in early April and then Beatrix in late May.
They’ll both be included in Granblue Rising’s Character Pass 1 alongside two more unannounced characters and Lucilius and 2B.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC with both paid and free-to-play versions
