Inspect, repair, and maintain diesel generators and related equipment
Conduct routine maintenance checks on diesel generators to ensure proper functioning
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in diesel generators
Repair or replace faulty parts and components of diesel generators
Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts
Test and evaluate the performance of diesel generators
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Provide technical assistance and guidance to other mechanics when needed
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in diesel generator technology
Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure efficient and reliable operation of diesel generators
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Trade certification as a diesel mechanic or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel generator mechanic
Strong knowledge of diesel generator systems and components
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
