Chemistry Laboratory Analyst – Port Elizabeth at Fresenius Group

The purpose for this position is to perform analysis following standard methods of analysis of either raw materials, components, in-process products, final products or water, to ensure quality and compliance to the MBR1.To perform analysis following standard methods for analysis
Prepare and analyse samples following official methods of analysis.
Operate, according to the operating procedures, various equipment such as HPLC, AA, UV/Vis Spec, FTIR, pH meter, Flame photometer, polarimeter and all laboratory equipment.
Maintain logbooks of all equipment used on a daily basis.
Perform calibration checks on designated equipment following the calibration procedure.
Accurately record all analysis results in the appropriate analysis reference book and report results in the appropriate format for approval by Senior Analyst, Supervisor and Laboratory Manager.
Perform routine analysis on in-process and final products, raw materials, components and water.
Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent.

Requirements

Minimum qualification, BSc or NTD Analytical Chemistry
2-5 years would be ideal depending on the applicable experience of the incumbent
Pharmaceutical Industry preferable
