After several days of reported Street Fighter 6 balance changes from the Ed build at Capcom Cup X and the community scrambling to try and figure out if they were real or not, Capcom has confirmed that character changes are happening in the upcoming update.
From the sound of it, this won’t be the massive balance update fans are expecting, but instead a handful of fighters are receiving alterations. With that being said, the game is still going to be changing here very shortly, and before it does top Chun-Li player Moke has released a final Street Fighter 6 tier list using the current build of the game that we’ve been playing for the last eight months.
Moke’s latest Street Fighter 6 tier list organizes the current cast into five different categories. We see letter ranks for each, with the highest being “SSS” and the lowest being “B” rank.
In the tweet accompanying the new tier list, Moke added some notes that when translated via Google Translate provide more insight into some of his choices.
For one thing, it appears that Moke feels that Street Fighter 6 is a game with strong projectiles and that characters with them tend to be stronger. He also cites having strong Drive Gauge tactics as another marker of a powerful character in this game.
With that in mind, we see Moke place one character and one character only in the SSS tier. JP, the powerful zoner who also hits like a truck, is the best in the game according to the top Chun-Li player, and this is certainly a choice that isn’t out of place.
At the top of the next tier down, SS, we see Luke, Chun-Li, and Guile to start, and Moke added that he believes the latter two may have some hidden potential in this game that we just don’t know about yet.
As far as Juri, the character that won all of Capcom Cup X, Moke places her down in S tier between Rashid and Blanka.
