NetherRealm Studios has fully unveiled the next two characters set to join Mortal Kombat 1. Peacemaker, the main roster addition, and the Janet Cage Kameo Fighter were both featured in the game’s latest trailer, which revealed gameplay for both of the upcoming DLC combatants.
Alongside this new trailer, NetherRealm and Warner Bros. Games released several high-res screenshots of the new fighters to provide fans with an even better look at the both of them.
Peacemaker originates from the DC Comics universe and found himself back in the spotlight after his self-titled HBO television series gained popularity. In the show, the anti-hero is played by John Cena, whose likeness and voice acting was used for the fighter in Mortal Kombat 1.
These fresh screenshots give us another glimpse at some of Peacemaker’s tools for combat. We see his sonic boom forcefield juggling Baraka, him playing air guitar with a goofy expression on his face, and even a shot of the powerful fighter posing with his trusty eagle after a big match win.
Also featured here are images of Janet Cage. This Johnny Cage-inspired DLC Kameo Fighter has several techniques at her disposal, including Johnny’s nut punch, an assist that sees her throw out several hits in succession, and an interesting jumping punch that she can hit multiple times.
Below you will find several high-res images featuring Peacemaker and Janet Cage in Mortal Kombat 1. There are also a handful of 4k screenshots that were shared by the great TQT that you’ll find included here as well.
