Playable Kamek with a unique moveset modded into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

There are 86 fighters present on the character select screen for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Masahiro Sakurai recently stated that his work on Smash Ultimate has come to an end, though it would appear that some fans think that there’s room for a few more fighters.

As it turns out, mRama recently released the beta of a playable Kamek in Smash Ultimate. Like the Piranha Plant, Kamek is a baddie from the Mario Bros. series that’s been given a completely unique moveset.

The Beefy Smash Doods recently uploaded a video showcasing what Kamek can do in a platformer brawler environment. Everything is subject to change as this is merely the beta for Kamek, but it’s actually fairly impressive that Kamek doesn’t immediately appear to be overpowered.

Like Villager and Isabelle, Kamek will actually shoot a projectile with his forward aerial, though the projectile has vastly different properties compared to the Animal Crossing reps. Down aerial is also a strange projectile that’s somewhat similar to Mega Man’s down aerial.

For Kamek’s down special, he will actually launch a Shell item. What’s funny is that it’s actually possible to perform a Shell Jump, and advanced technique that’s famous in the Mario Bros. series. Of course, this technique is highly situational in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but it’s apparently a possibility.
