Earlier this week, we highlighted a special kind of tier list for Tekken 8 that was created by King Jae. Rather than ranking characters based on how strong they are at the highest levels of play, King Jae instead ranked them based on how easy they were to pick up for a beginner.
Now it seems that King Jae has a more traditional tier list for us. Of course, it’s still early in Tekken 8’s lifespan so this tier list should only be seen as King Jae’s early impressions, which are subject to change.
There are a total of nine fighters labeled as being either “broken” or “crazy strong.” In no particular order, the strongest fighters in the game right now according to King Jae are Jun, Dragunov, King, Azucena, Victor, Feng, and three others.
Combatants like Jin, Jack-8, Lili, and Paul are said to be very strong, though not as strong as the aforementioned combatants. Kazuya, Shaheen, Leo, and Zafina are said to be in an even lower tier, but are overall still “pretty good.”
Technically speaking, King Jae has labeled Leroy Smith as the weakest character in the game, stating that he’s “decent, but with flaws.” However, Kuma, Panda, Raven, Reina, Steve, and Asuka are currently unranked in King Jae’s tier list as he feels that he doesn’t have enough information about them right now.
