Reina is certainly one of the big new standouts of Tekken 8 with her strong style and attitude, so it should come as little surprise that she’s making a splash outside the game too.
Now that Tekken 8 is out in the wild, Yuna Kairi has been showing off the first great Reina cosplay we’ve come across.
As her name suggests, Yuna Kairi typically likes to focus on Final Fantasy and Square Enix games for her cosplay, but Reina really seems to have captured her attention as well.
Upon first glances, her accurate purple and black jacket with stripes catches the eye just like Reina’s does in the game, but top to bottom, she’s looking pretty darn impressive overall.
We love that she not only has pretty much the perfect wig, Yuna Kairi also put together Reina’s somewhat complicated undershirt situation as well as the right gloves, choker and purple straps.
Just having all of the costume pieces doesn’t make an instantly great cosplay, however, as Yuna Kairi also brings out some of the attitude and sass needed for Reina too.
Couple that with some strong pose work, and we’ve got ourselves a real winner here, which even in the internet age, is still pretty fast for a character who’s only publicly existed for a few months at this point.
We’ll be seeing more top tier Reina cosplays coming in the future for sure, but this is setting the bar pretty high at the start.
