Rage Arts were one of the most controversial additions to Tekken 7 nearly a decade ago, but the big finishers are here to stay in the new game with some tweaks and flashier presentation.
Top fighting game streamer and content creator Maximilian Dood just released his new ‘Rate the Super’ video ranking every Rage Art in Tekken 8.
Towards the start, Max notes he wasn’t super impressed with most of the Rage Arts from base Tekken 7 and the first few seasons though does say they got better towards the end and was very interested to see how they’ve evolved in the final product now.
Overall, he seems pretty pleased with the growth of the developers and animators noting much better camera composition, pacing and presentation in general being much better than its predecessor.
Sometimes it’s not even the attacks themselves that come off the most interesting or cool to Max like Brian’s POV shot from his cyborg eyes giving the move a lot of extra flair that wouldn’t be there otherwise.
We won’t spoil all of the picks, but he ends up giving six different characters a 10/10 for their finishers, and of course Raven’s is up there in his top 3 overall — and one of the perfect scores does not go to Reina.
Not all of them can be winners, however, but even then, Max doesn’t really go below a 6 for like anyone, which also goes to show how the presentation has been stepped up basically across the board.
