PURPOSE
We are looking for a stores controller to be responsible for management of inventory, requisition, receipt, issuing and recordings based on the operation needs. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with supply chain procedures and have good communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock.
- Document control and completing the required paperwork on stock requisitions.
- Updating stock information on the computer system.
- Implementing or improving processes and procedures.
- Compiling reports and addressing inventory discrepancies.
- Performing random checks and audits.
- Generate monthly stores reports.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Grader 12
- NQF Level 6 Logistics Management, Retail Business Management,
- Mechanical/Electrical Qualification
- Maintenance management course will be added advantages.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven 2 years’ work experience in mining or construction as a stock controller,
- inventory manager, engineering supervisory position or similar role.
