Lies of P appears to be teasing a Street Fighter 6 crossover

Street Fighter 6 has featured an interesting mix of western and Japanese themed collaborations into the game, and we may soon be adding South Korea with some steampunk flair to the pot as well.

Neowiz Games and Round8 Studio appear as though they could be teasing a crossover between SF6 and their Lies of P.

They recently shared a surprising post to the official Lies of P X/Twitter page showcasing Pinocchio and Venigni playing at a custom Krat Street Fighter 6 cabinet.

On the screen, we can see the familiar SF6 interface, but the world warriors have been replaced by the puppets Polendina vs Pulcinella.

The text doesn’t really give anything away though just saying “Nothing beats a classic masterpiece!” and tagging the official Street Fighter account.

SF6 Director Takayuki Nakayama did respond to said post, but all he basically said was “thank you” in Korean, which doesn’t really clue us in any more.

So our best guess is this is just the developers shouting out one of their favorite franchises using their own critically acclaimed game, or there’s going to be some sort of collab coming in the near future.

The puppet-filled Souls-like action game already did feature in a crossover with a different Japanese developer already when they brought Lies of P weapons over to Koei Tecmo’s Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, so they definitely seem like they’d be up to it.

As for what said crossover would be, the most likely answer is of course avatar costumes, but at least these ones could end up more stylish than the previous ones depending on what they’d bring over.

There is still an unannounced content drop coming later this month that could fit the bill, or it could just be the Ed Arrives Fighting Pass since we just got his teaser this week too.

If we are getting a Lies of P collab soon, hopefully they follow in the footsteps of the Spy x Family costumes and make them cheap with Drive Tickets instead of expensive Fighter Coins like we saw with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles last year.

Although it’s looking fairly likely at the moment, it appears as though we’re just gonna have to wait and see what Pinocchio has in store for Ryu and the gang.
