Street Fighter 6 has one of the most feature-rich Training Modes in all of fighting games that everyone in the genre should be taking notes on.
Or wait a bit and some fan modders will come in and add some of the best tools / ideas like we’re seeing now in the recently released Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
That certainly goes for one Agersant in particular, who put together a slick Granblue Rising mod that basically gives the game SF6’s frame meter.
The very handy display appears to work much the same as it does in Street Fighter by measuring out frames in little blocks that’ll count everything about a move including startup frames, active frames, recovery and block stun
It can be extremely useful for not only finding potential new combo routes, but also potential gaps in you or an opponent’s pressure game.

To be fair to Granblue, the developers did add a proper frame advantage counter to Rising before release that also displays the first active frame and total frames to cover much of the same data, but the meter offers a unique fuller picture of how moves and interactions work that’s easier to visualize.
Something like this would be even more needed in other fighters lacking frame data options like Guilty Gear Strive, which luckily now exists for that game now too in mod form.
As for Granblue, this mod only works for the full version of the game and not the free edition, and you can find more information about the frame meter on Github.
