Manchester United has joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Arthur Vermeeren, the young midfield talent from Royal Antwerp, according to a report by Tottenham News.
At just 18, Vermeeren has impressively racked up 65 appearances for Royal Antwerp, playing a pivotal role in their first Pro League championship in 66 years during the last season.
Continuing his remarkable form into this year, Vermeeren has participated in every minute of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage for his team, even scoring a goal in their 3-2 victory against Barcelona.
The Sun reports that Vermeeren could be available for around £25 million, though there is significant interest in his services.
Tottenham News notes that Manchester United is intensely pursuing Vermeeren, with their scouts actively engaged in a battle with Tottenham for the young star’s signature.
