Two days ago, 00|Phenom released a clip where he briefly interviewed BST|Daigo Umehara. The next day, Phenom posted another short video where he interviewed GyoGun|Moke. With both of these situations, Phenom was attempting to persuade the Street Fighter 6 community that Ken’s tier placement was being overinflated.
It would appear that Phenom may be planning to release one of these clips every day. Earlier today, Phenom released another short video covering his conversation with Saishunkan|Shuto, one of the best Marisa players in the world.
As it turns out, Shuto has a particularly unique view on Street Fighter 6. Though it’s commonly accepted that Luke, JP, and Ken are the top 3 combatants in Street Fighter 6 right now, Shuto doesn’t have any of those three in his top 1 position.
“One: Chun-Li,” began Shuto when asked about his top 5 characters for Street Fighter 6. “Two: JP. Three: Luke. Four: Dee Jay.”
By this point, it should be fairly clear that Shuto likely wasn’t going to list Ken in his top 5. However, the character that Shuto would then mention ended up surprising even Phenom.
“Five: Marisa,” concluded Shuto. Following this, Phenom would then bring up how nobody in his last three interviews has placed Ken in their top 5, prompting Shuto to list three more characters.
“Six: Cammy,” continued Shuto once more. “Seven: Ken. Eight: Rashid.”
