Stakeholders from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other political actors under the aegis of Anambra Coalition Stakeholders Forum from the 21 Councils and 326 electoral Wards of Anambra State have adopted candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief John Nwosu as it candidate for the November 8, 2025 governorship election in the state.

While adopting the resolution at the end of its meeting in Awka, on Friday, the forum expressed satisfaction that ADC was piloting the coalition compass of the anticipated new political movement in the state and beyond.

The National Chairman of ADC and the leader of the Coalition, Chief Ralphs Okey Nwosu in his remarks pointed out that what’s playing out now was a result of above twenty years painstaking hardwork and sleepless nights.

He disclosed that former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has expressed confidence and  played invaluable legwork in anchoring the emerging political structure and for it to be rested in ADC, as a political party with a difference.

Just like the ex-President’s views, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Chief Nwosu disclosed was keen to see the coalition galvanized to fruition under ADC. That it’s what Nigeria needs now.

While commending the Anambra Stakeholders for being alive to the Coalition dreams, Nwosu thanked them for their doggedness.

ADC governorship candidate, John Nwosu expressed high confidence in his victory at the coming Nov 8, 2025 poll.

He dropped 7-key points of his campaign focus with which to turn things around for the state and the citizens.

The Forum nominated a former Speaker of the Anambra State House Assembly, Barr BenChuks Nwosu as chairman who signed the communique and Prof (Mrs) Zelunjo Igweze as Secretary.
