“My thoughts on this. it’s the best “drawing a line” type of situation ever. I think more people are drawing lines in the sand for no particular reason. I would hope and wish people would stop having the presidency so much in their minds that they forget about the local politics. I think a lot of people look at this spectacle as far as the presidency and forget about the policies and the people that we need to put in our community politics to make our communities better. I know it’s a nation thing, but it starts with our community first.”
“As I am an immigrant, it affects me because right now my documentation and process is being held up by the political people that is in charge of immigration which is president Donald Trump and he is not for immigrants getting the proper documentations needed so it delays our process as well as our status and it affects me personally because I am an international student.”
“I grew up in an immigrant household and we believe in doing things on our own and I never really grew up paying attention to politics but as I got older, speaking up for yourself, or having your own mindset, your thoughts and be able to really think critically about things that are going on and not just follow a crowd no matter where it leads. And if you can’t do that maybe separate yourself because there is such a thing called “energy harvesting” and that’s another thing that you need to cognizant of and making sure that you are not falling into traps on either side.”
“My general thoughts on today’s political climate is very hectic and overwhelming and a little suffocating. I think being a minority in America now overwhelming and scary and think what Trump is doing is creating a lot of division within everybody and within communities. But I think it’s causing a lot of division and it’s stressful, but I think this is time where we all need to become educated and inform ourselves and inform everyone around us because all we have is each other.”

Especially people who are international students, and people who on work visas, and people who also come to this country that are like wow, I came to this country for new opportunities and I feel like now where do I go from here, how am I going to achieve my dreams or help my family back home and I think there is a lot of fear surrounding that. I think that is Trumps goal to scare people, that he has that much power to do that. Also, him being able to change for example changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America that’s insane that he has the capability to do that. All the important things that everyday people think about like healthcare, housing, people struggling, college, all these important things, these need to be concentrated on.”
“To say that there is one word to describe what is going on in our political environment in this country, it’s a two-word term, a “melting pot” for real. We under controlled rule, a direct obligation is being laid out from President Musk to everybody else. There are so many pieces that you would have never thought would have so much control pulled by one string and that one string is pulled by many. Its very wild on what’s going on, its wild how very subtle how they put things in front of us. Controlled media, but I don’t see anything relevant towards politics, towards the economy, towards healthcare, nothing that is going on in this country that makes sense.”
“I believe that they are being a little uptight particularly around immigration and that this is a free country, and everybody has the opportunity to grow and develop themselves and live the American dream. And so, however they reach this country, whether they’re running away from poverty or whatever their circumstances are, they’re all here for the same dreams that we are all here for and that is pursue our education and development and freedom.”
