Responsibilities:
Layout Ability
Produce layouts, utilizing approved campaign templates, as well as product and price data and imagery from the agency’s integrated workflow database tools
Strict adherence to all necessary formatting, including sizes, typographic rules, column widths, kerning, styling and all other layout specifics and particulars as required
Selecting, utilizing and checking of all colours against brand guidelines, Cis and campaign toolkits
Technical Skills
Utilise agency’s licensed DTP software (Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Adobe InDesign) to produce advertising layouts
Make use of the 99c workflow management system (Workbook) to action briefs; receive and communicate job-related information; manage timesheets; etc
Utilize Client-managed RMS (Retail Management System) software to complete all necessary DTP outputs via approved systems, processes and workflows, with all necessary work managed within the RMS ecosystem
Process Management
Meet all deadlines, including tight turnarounds at times, never shirking responsibility or delaying workflow process
Fully understand and adhere to agency DTP processes and systems for communication, circulation, Finished Art checks, and disking
Understand and adhere to the full Finished Art handover checklist, ensuring all jobs move systematically through the approved Finished Art process, and never skipping or missing any steps within the workflow
Attention to Detail
A well above average, unwavering focus on the minutiae, never settling for anything less than 100% accuracy
Ensure all product details (including descriptions, pricing, SKUs, and specifications) are accurately presented and aligned with the latest client or retailer data
Double-check all pricing and promotional offers to ensure they are correct and up to date across all layouts
Maintain a uniform structure and consistent visual hierarchy in product and price layouts to enhance readability and ensure a seamless customer experience
Pay careful attention to the placement of product images, pricing, and copy to ensure clarity and alignment with brand guidelines
Review all product and price layouts meticulously for any typographical errors, inconsistent font usage, or incorrect price displays
Confirm that the pricing format, currency symbols, and discount details are consistent across all products and promotional materials to avoid confusion or mistakes
Requirements
Qualifications
Diploma in Desktop Publishing or Art Direction is highly beneficial
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a DTP Artist working as a DTP Art Director within an advertising agency, production bureau, or digital environment
