The future of Jadon Sancho remains uncertain, but reports indicate he has set his sights on a return to Borussia Dortmund.
According to Bild, the 25-year-old has informed his management of his desire to go back to the Bundesliga club, where he previously enjoyed the most successful spell of his career.
However, Sky reporters Patrick Berger and Jesco von Eichmann have cast doubt over the move during their latest Auffe Sud podcast.

“We can’t confirm that yet, we’re not that far along with our talks,” Berger admitted when addressing the Bild report.
Sancho is currently on loan at Chelsea from Manchester United until the summer but has struggled to recapture his best form.
The winger has managed two goals and five assists in 28 appearances this season.
The Englishman has not consistently influenced games at the level expected.
Berger explained that while Jadon Sancho continues to monitor Dortmund closely, his return is far from a priority for the club.
“What we do know is that Jadon always looks very much at Dortmund and had his best time there.
“But in the end, even if he wants to, the question is: What does BVB want?” he said.
The answer to that question appears to be that Dortmund are not actively pursuing a deal.

Especially given their current squad options.
“You have Duranville, you have Adeyemi, Gittens.
“You don’t know in perspective whether he will leave the club at some point.
“But you have a Beier who can play there. You don’t have the need in this position now,” Berger explained.
Dortmund’s reluctance is also financial, with Sancho’s contract at Manchester United running until 2026.
Borussia Dortmund purchase fee revealed
Berger revealed that the purchase option would be between €32-35 million, with his salary also in the “double-digit million range.”
Therefore making a deal difficult for Dortmund to justify.
“At the moment it is not a hot topic, because it would of course be an insane amount of money,” added von Eichmann.
Jadon Sancho previously played for Dortmund between 2017 and 2021 before joining Manchester United for €85 million.
He made his return to Signal Iduna Park in January 2024 on a six-month loan, but a permanent move looks increasingly unlikely given Dortmund’s current stance.
