Server maintenance coming to Mortal Kombat 1 December 14 for the arrival of Quan Chi and more

The dark sorcerer of the dead is almost here, and he’s not coming alone.

NetherRealm Studios revealed tonight that Mortal Kombat 1 will be undergoing server maintenance tomorrow morning, December 14, for the arrival of Quan Chi and wider update to the game.

The maintenance is scheduled to begin Thursday at 7 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. CT / 10 a.m. ET where servers are scheduled to be down for approximately two hours.

During said time, all online modes and rewards will be unavailable according to the WB Games post.

Once live again, Quan Chi should be available to Kombat Pack 1 owners of MK1 along with a patch bringing in some interesting additions and balance adjustments.

For starters, MK1 is finally getting its Wi-Fi indicator and ability to turn down matches after seeing the connection though Krossplay isn’t coming until next year still.

Darrius is getting a new Kameo move to give him his overhead kick as an Ambush option as well as nerfing Kung Lao’s low hat throw Kameo so that it’s no longer advantage on block.

We’ll have more information and the patch notes for what’s all included in the new update when it becomes available.
