Ruben Amorim has confirmed that there are no lingering issues between him and Alejandro Garnacho.
This comes following the winger’s controversial reaction to being substituted in 3-2 win against Ipswich Town.
Garnacho was taken off in the first half after Patrick Dorgu’s red card.
A decision that saw him storm straight down the tunnel rather than taking his seat on the bench.
The moment sparked criticism, with some pundits questioning the Argentine’s attitude.
However, Amorim has since explained that there was no bad blood between the pair.
Speaking ahead of United’s FA Cup fifth-round clash with Fulham on Sunday, Amorim said:
“He came to me. It was funny because he came to my office.
“I did an investigation, went to the dressing room to change his clothes because they were wet.
“He watched the game from somewhere different from the bench.
“There is no issue. I told him perception is important.”
Alejandro Garnacho squad punishment revealed
Despite there being no serious problem, Amorim still made sure Garnacho learned from the situation.
He revealed that the youngster will now pay for dinner for the entire squad.
“He will pay for dinner for all the team,” Amorim confirmed.
During the press conference, Amorim was also asked about Roy Keane’s criticism of Bruno Fernandes’ captaincy.
The Portuguese boss was quick to defend his playmaker.
“I heard about that but I have a different opinion,” he said.
“Bruno is really important for us in the club, especially for me, he is playing well in a difficult context.

“He wants always the responsibility.”
Despite clearing the air with Amorim, Garnacho remains somewhat unsettled at United.
His performances have been inconsistent, and questions continue to be asked about his long-term fit in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system.
A system that does not typically use natural wingers.
This has led to speculation about his future, with Napoli coming close to signing him in January.
The Italian giants, led by Antonio Conte, were keen on bringing him to Serie A.
However, Garnacho ultimately stayed at Old Trafford after Marcus Rashford instead secured a shock move to Aston Villa.
With United struggling, Garnacho will need to focus on rediscovering his best form to cement his place under Amorim.
