2025 guber: Anambra LG workers endorse Soludo for second term

Workers from the 21 local government areas of Anambra, have endorsed governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for a second term in office come November 8, 2025 governorship election in the state.

The workers made the endorsement during the official inauguration of State, Zonal and Local Government Coordinators of “Solution Vanguard”, a political support group formed by the State Local Government Service Commission to intensified mobilization for the governor’s second term reelection bid.

The event which took place at the Commission’s premises in Awka, on Thursday, also witnessed the presence of the Special Adviser to governor Soludo on political matters, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, the board member one of the Commission, Hon Azubuike and the state executive of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in the state

The workers said that Soludo was adopted as its sole candidate for the election under the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA platform because of his uncountable achievements within two years and eleven months in office.

Emphasizing further on the endorsement, the the Chairman of the Commission and the National Convener of the group, Chief Barr Vin Ezeaka, said the group is not a political party but a support movement formed by the LGA’s workers to help mobilized for the second term ambition of governor Soludo in returns to what he has been doing towards the welfare of the workers including the ongoing payment of pension and gratuity to Anambra workers since his assumption as the governor of the State in March 17,2022.

“This group is not a political party but a support movement unanimously formed by the local government workers to support the governor second term agenda. We are Workers, we also have the right to vote and be voted for in any electoral process. This whole ideas came from the workers, I only blossom.

“It’s the above mentioned achievements that spurs us to formed and finance this group to ensure the reelection bid the governor come November 8, 2025.”

The Chairman charge the newly inaugurated coordinators to commend mobilization campaign in their various villages, community and the council at large.

In her brief acceptance speech, the State Coordinator of the group, Barrister Athonia Tabansi Okorie, who spoke on behalf of others, while thanking the governor and the Chairman of the Commission for finding them worthy of the appointment, promised to deliver on the mandate.
