Motorcyclist dies after crash into side of house – Paradise Post

OROVILLE — A motorcyclist who witnesses said was speeding and ran a stop sign crashed into the side of a house and died Friday.

The man was riding a blue, black and white Suzuki motorcycle when he crashed around 12:24 p.m. near the intersection of Orange and Boynton avenues in Oroville, according to a news release from the Oroville Police Department.

Cal Fire-Butte County firefighters arrived before police and attempted to save the rider’s life, but he died from his injuries after being transported to Oroville Hospital.

Several witnesses told police the motorcyclist was speeding north on Boynton Avenue just before the crash, according to the release. They also said he didn’t stop at a stop sign.

Police are asking anyone who may have more information about the deadly crash to call the Police Department at 530-538-2444.

The man’s name is being withheld until his next of kin have been notified.
