Duties (including but not limited to):
Strategic/Financial:
- Actively contributing to the development and improvement of company digital delivery processes and protocols.
- Contribute to digital delivery orientated meetings to discuss specific areas of the project.
- Responsible for the management of BIM software licenses on-site per project.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding BIM software. Ensure the hardware has sufficient capabilities on-site.
- Drive own skill development, future-proofing our digital skillset.
- Ensuring compliance of company BIM standard.
Operational:
- Creating and managing project folders in online Building Information Management (BIM) platform for various projects.
- Using computer-aided drafting software to create construction drawings for temporary works design.
- Carry out structural analyses for low complexity temporary works designs.
- Combining various 3D model files from different stakeholders (Professional Consultants and Subcontractors) to create a Navisworks Consolidated/ Federated model that is ready for coordination and Visual Walkthroughs/ Presentations.
- Checking and approval of the required drawings and 3D models (as specified in the MPDT) prior to model federation and handover to the client.
- Ensure all project data is correctly established and maintained in accordance with company standards and project requirements.
- Ensuring handover compliance through correct data seamlessly transferred at the correct project stages.
- Ensure site alignment with our regional digital strategy.
- Enhance daily activities with the use of BIM such as showing the 3D model in meetings and toolbox talks.
- Assisting Contracts manager with data extracted from BIM platforms.
- Assisting Quantity surveyor with take offs from BIM.
- Assisting Site engineers with Model run throughs to identify construction issues and methods.
Stakeholders (internal & external customers, suppliers, shareholders, communities):
- Facilitating meetings to review coordinated models and provide feedback on digital delivery model information issues.
- Building and managing relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Carry out multi discipline clash detection reports and contribute to clash detection meetings and solutions.
- Distribute information to stakeholders and co-ordinate BIM platform projects folder for multiple projects.
- Work with the planning department to implement the 4D programming.
- Working directly with the client to assist in any of their digital requests.
- Assisting SHEQ team with layouts of site camp and construction site
- Managing sub-contractors BIM and supplying sub-contractor with additional information from BIM.
- Creating Workflows between all stakeholders on BIM platforms
Employees:
- Training and development of the site teams on how to implement the BIM platform management packages.
- Creating digital toolbox talks to raise awareness of the company’s digital tools and trends.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Autodesk Professional Certification would be beneficial
- Experience in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Navisworks and/ or other Software for Coordination and 3D modelling.
- Exposure to Autodesk BIM 360 will be beneficial
- At least 3 years’ experience in managing construction projects.
