Manchester United are now seemingly open to selling their star striker with only nine days left in the transfer window.
The Red Devils previously were reported as being open to consider any serious offer for any of their stars in a bid to generate transfer funds.
Whilst new boy Joshua Zirkzee has routinely been linked with moves away, primarily to Juventus, this time it’s turn for Rasmus Hojlund.
The 21-year-old arrived at Manchester United from Atalana in 2023 for £62 million, making up a tenth of Erik ten Hag’s £600 million spending at the club.
His signing was supposed to be a new strategy for recruitment at Old Trafford, focusing on potential to drive their new signings.
However, less than two years later and Hojlund is still struggling to find the back of the next consistently.
With only seven goals and one assist in 27 games this season, teammates Amad Diallo, Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho have all scored more than the club’s top striker.
Now, ESPN has included Hojlund in their list of strikers who are up for grabs this January.
The report explains that despite his poor number of goal contributions, clubs from Serie A like AC Milan and Juventus are still interested.
It’s thought the interest comes from his proven record in the Italian league, with ten goals and four assists in 34 matches.
