A sneak peek at the Battle Mage in DNF Duel was provided back in September. A new trailer has dropped on DNF Duel’s YouTube channel that provides a look at the Battle Mage’s gameplay.
Surprisingly, the Battle Mage wasn’t shown using any projectiles during the 55 second trailer. Instead, she just kept hitting opponents with her staff, which does appear to give her a good amount of reach.
In one instance, the Battle Mage appears to trap the opponent within some sort of stasis. Before this stasis effect ended, the Battle Mage was able to dash forward to get herself at a better range to continue her combo.
The Battle Mage is also demonstrated to have some moves with OTG properties. Based on all of this, it’s clear that she has a heavy emphasis on performing combos.
Throughout the trailer, the Battle Mage is shown generating between one and three orbs. However, their usage at the moment is unknown as they were never actually used during the trailer.
The Battle Mage is the third DLC fighter being added to DNF Duel. She’ll become available to download on December 18, 2023.
