Gasperini’s Admiration

Atalanta’s head coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, has been instrumental in Lookman’s development and has expressed his admiration for the Nigerian star.

“He’s [Lookman] a top player. In terms of character, there are perhaps players who have more continuity and are more solid, but that’s normal,” Gasperini said, as quoted by Sosfanta.

“Even his role is difficult. He always has to be very fit, but he has become a truly extraordinary player, among the best in Europe and the world. Because he has improved his consistency and, in some ways, he has started to be an important Atalanta player.”

Eyeing Serie A Glory

Atalanta currently sits at the summit of the Italian Serie A standings, and Lookman’s performances have been crucial in their campaign. The forward will aim to maintain his impressive form as the club chases its first-ever Serie A title.
