Nnadozie Makes CAF Best Player Final Shortlist

Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has made the final shortlist of the 2024 CAF Women’s Played of the year award, and also the goalkeeper of the year category.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a successful year for club and country with impressive performances between the sticks.

Nnadozie is the only Nigerian to make the final list of the Player of the year award after Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade missed out of the final nominees.

She will battle it out with Tabitha Chawinga, Temwa Chawinga, Barbara Banda and Sanaâ Mssoudy for the top award.

In the goalkeeper of the year category, Nnadozie will slug it out with Fideline Ngoy, Habiba Sabry, Khadija Er-Rmichi, Andile Dlamini.

Falconets Star, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu was nominated for the young player of the year award, while the team’s coach, Christopher Danjuma made the final nominees for the coach of the year award.

The Super Falcons were nominated for the team of the year award.

Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala is the current holder of the CAF Women’s player of the year award, she won the award for a record sixth time last year.
