Dis-Chem Pharmacies require the services of a reputable Clinic Staff Nurse for their Store in Pretoria. Your portfolio will cover to assist the Clinic Nurse Practitioner with daily operations of the Primary Health Care Clinic that is situated in a pharmacy within the scope of practice of an enrolled nurse
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
  • 2 – 5 years practicing as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister
  • Computer literate – MS Office
  • Sound numerical skills
  • Strong command of the English language and a second language
  • Willing and able to work retail hours 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Nurse practitioner regarding communication to patients.
  • Ensure proper communication with the Nursing practitioner within regards to operations of the Dis-Chem Clinic.
  • Keep accurate record of patient’s details, on the electronic system.
  • Ensure all electronic and verbal communication is followed up with the Nursing practitioner.
  • Assist the Nursing practitioner with ensuring that the Dis-Chem clinic operates in accordance with the hours stated in the operational agreement.
  • Ensure daily checklists are completed.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of the standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere to the clinic`s dress code whilst on duty.
  • Ensure all the stock and equipment in the clinic is in a working condition according to Dis-Chem`s standard and operational standards.
  • Ensure that stock in the clinic has not expired before using it on a patient.
  • Dispose of expired stock in accordance with Dis-Chem`s policies and procedures.
  • Assist Nurse practitioner with ensuring that there are adequate amounts of stock in the clinic. Customer Service:
  • Adhere to patient schedule according to the standard operating procedures.
  • Adhere to Dis-Chem customer Service policies and procedures.
  • Assist Nurse Practitioner with the relationships of the various stakeholders
  • Ensure to be present in the clinic when on duty as per contracted hours.
  • Build and maintain a healthy relationship with the Store – and Dispensary manager.
  • Ensure the patient queues get well managed.
