Hidden moves and Brutality for Omni-Man discovered – uses his own Kameo as a human shield, projectile and more in Mortal Kombat 1

Omni-Man is a total brute as Mortal Kombat 1’s first DLC character, but it appears as though there were / are plans to make him even more ruthless.

Data-miner Thethiny recently shared the discovery of some hidden unused moves / mechanics and a Brutality for Omni-Man that let him take out his own Kameo assist with Interloko showing off their animations and uses.

According to Thethiny, MK1’s code makes multiple references to a series of moves called “KameoKill” that he obviously can’t use in the full game.

The text in the info box states that using the KameoKill would increase Omni-Man’s damage and defense, but his Kameo actions would be disabled for the rest of the match.

That can sound a bit confusing, but Interloko was able to rip out the animations to make things much more clear.

Omni-Man could grab and hold up his own Kameo in front of him to become a human shield and absorb an unknown amount of incoming attacks / damage.

From there, he has multiple animations of tossing the Kameo’s body forwards or backwards, likely as a human projectile, and after that it sounds like the assists would be gone for the rest of the match (because they’ve been essentially taken out by their own teammate).

They even made special animations for Omni-Man throwing Motaro specifically.

It appears as though he also had a piece of dialogue meant for the move stating “They were weak,” which we’re not sure if that’s a direct reference to Invincible or just connected to Nolan’s ruthless and calculated nature.

Even without his assist, however, Omni-Man would still be able to perform Breakers by himself, so he wouldn’t be missing out on more of the mechanics when flying solo.

On top of that, Thethiny also found reference to another Brutality hidden in MK1’s files for Omni-Man labeled as “Mustache” though it’s still a bit unclear as to what it is or how to do it (if you can at all).

Omniman has a 5th Brutality called Mustache. Has anyone done it yet?

It’s unknown if the Kameo Kill moves were something cut out during the development process or if they’re planned to be added in the future.

If we had to guess, though, the mechanic probably ended up on the cutting room floor due to potential balancing issues since Kameos are such a big part of the gameplay or maybe even avoiding future problems of guest Kameos and the like getting destroyed by their own user.

There will likely be more discoveries made around these unique moves and more of what Mortal Kombat 1’s files are hiding, so it’ll be very interesting to see what lies below the surface for this game.
