801 Strider releases his latest Street Fighter 6 Marisa tier chart

One of the best Marisa players in North America, 801 Strider, recently put together a tier chart for the towering brawler in Street Fighter 6.

Marisa has the benefit of having some of the highest damage output in the entire game, which makes her a formidable opponent and quite strong when it comes to the tiers. This match up chart is a great resource to understand just how strong she very well might be here in Street Fighter 6.

Strider’s Marisa match up chart is organized into four different categories. We see your standard “wins” the match up label, “even,” and “loses,” but Strider also adds a special category for characters that Marisa tends to “demolish.”

Starting things out with the game’s latest DLC character, A.K.I., Strider notes that the newcomer gets absolutely destroyed by Marisa in this version of the game. Strider goes on to add two more characters to the “demolish” category as well, but we’ll let you have a look at the list to see who else earns those spots.

As far as her match ups go, Strider feels that Marisa has the most even bouts above all else. There are eight characters he feels she is evenly matched with, six that she wins against, and two that she actually loses against.

What works out nicely for the brawler is that she seems to be able to hold her own against some of the clear top tiers in the game. Among the even match ups on the chart, we see top tiers such as Luke, JP, Ken, Chun-Li, and Dee Jay all listed, and many of these placements boil down to Marisa’s ability to play neutral and dish out damage when she’s closer to her foe.

Along with his latest Marisa tier chart, 801 Strider also shared a YouTube video that breaks down all of the placements and reasoning behind everything. You can check it out below, but be warned that there is quite a bit of strong language used throughout.
