Manchester United are desperate to sign a new striker as they continue to struggle converting in the final third.
Their 1-0 win over Fulham was curtesy of centre-back Lisandro Martinez, with their last goal from a striker being in United’s 4-3 loss to Tottenham in December as they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup.
Of United’s 70 goals this season, only 11 have been scored by strikers, with Rasmus Hojlund grabbing seven and Joshua Zirkzee netting the other four
As such, it’s clear than a prolific goalscorer is needed at the club, with Amorim’s side targeting players like Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani.
However, it’s a star much closer to home who has now announced he wants a move to Old Trafford.

Christopher Nkunku wants a move to Manchester United
CaughtOffside has now reported that Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku is keen on a move to Old Trafford after his deal with Bayern Munich has fallen through.
The Red Devils have been eyeing up the France international throughout the month, even considering a potential swap deal including Alejandro Garnacho.
The deal looked to be beneficial for both clubs with the pair of attackers evenly valued at around £60 million, with Chelsea looking to Garnacho as a stand in for Mykhaylo Mudryk.
However, news around Chelsea moving for Garnacho has now gone quiet, although that doesn’t mean a deal can’t or won’t be done.
Whilst Nkunku has been relatively quiet at Stamford Bridge, with only 16 goals and four assists in 43 games. However, with RB Leipzig, the 27-year-old showed off his versatility across a range of positions throughout midfield, the wings and as a striker, grabbing 70 goals and 54 assists in 172 games.
