Ruben Amorim secured his first win as Manchester United manager with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Bodo/Glimt.
United started the match in electrifying fashion, scoring within the opening minute.
Rasmus Hojlund’s high press forced a mistake from the Bodo/Glimt goalkeeper, allowing Alejandro Garnacho to tap home the opener.
However, the next twenty minutes exposed United’s lingering defensive weaknesses.
Two quick goals from the visitors, stemming from sloppy errors at the back, left Amorim’s side facing an uphill battle.
Rasmus Hojlund provided a crucial equaliser just before halftime, showcasing excellent technique and composure to convert a Noussair Mazraoui cross.
At halftime, Amorim made pivotal tactical adjustments, including substituting Diogo Dalot for the struggling Tyrell Malacia.
These changes paid off in the second half.
The winning goal came when Hojlund scored his second of the game, capping off a brilliant team move by finishing a pinpoint Manuel Ugarte cross.
United controlled most of the second half, although a few nervy moments tested their resilience.
They ultimately held on for a 3-2 win.
