Bishop Blanchet defeated Seattle Academy last night, 72-60, in a loser-out game advancing to the next round of playoffs. Blanchet will take on West Seattle tonight at 7:00 pm at Franklin High School, as they fight for first and second place in the 3A boys’ basketball district qualifier.
Garfield 82 O’Dea 59
After coming off a close overtime win during their last meeting with the Fighting Irish, Garfield comfortably defeated O’Dea, 82-59, last night sending the Bulldogs to the Metro Championship game where they will take on the #1 seed, Rainier Beach tomorrow at 8:00 pm at Seattle Pacific University. The winner of the matchup will take the title of 3A Boys Metro League Champions.
West Seattle 67 Lakeside 42
Last night, West Seattle defeated Lakeside, 67-42, in a loser-out game advancing to the next round of playoffs. West Seattle will now take on Bishop Blanchet tonight at 7:00 pm at Franklin High School, battling for first place in the 3A boys’ basketball district qualifier.
Rainier Beach 106 Seattle Prep 89
#1 seed, Rainier Beach defeated the #4 seed, Seattle Prep, 106-89, last night at Crawford Court. The Panthers started the game with a 5-0 run in the first two minutes, keeping up with the top-ranked team in the state. However, Rainier Beach’s Kaden Powers hit a 3-point buzzer-beater shot at the end of the second quarter, leading the Vikings to a 54-51-point lead as they entered halftime. With the win, Rainier Beach will take on Garfield tomorrow at 8:00 pm at Seattle Pacific University, to determine who will hold the title of 3A Boys Metro League Champions.
Roosevelt 49 Eastside Catholic 48
The #6 seed, the Roosevelt Roughriders defeated the #5 seed and last year’s 3A Boys State Champions, Eastside Catholic in a 1-point, 49-48, victory last night. With the win Roosevelt placed fifth in the 3A Metro Playoffs, and Eastside Catholic placed sixth. Both teams are advancing to districts next week.

Bishop Blanchet advances to the next round of playoffs after a 2-point, 42-40, win over Seattle Academy in a loser-out game. Blanchet, who scored 28 second-half points, takes on Holy Names Academy today at 5:30 pm at Franklin Highschool, advancing to Districts next week.
Seattle Prep 41 West Seattle 31
Last night, Seattle Prep defeated West Seattle, 41-31. Seattle Prep takes fifth place, advancing to Districts next week, and West Seattle takes sixth place.
Garfield 52 Roosevelt 51
Roosevelt was led by Ellery Burke-Brown who scored 17 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in their, 52-51, defeat against Garfield. However, both teams scored 28 second-half points, with Garfield scoring 24 first-half points to give them a 1-point victory over Roosevelt.
Holy Names Academy 55 Ballard 43
Holy Names, who scored 34 second-half points, defeated Ballard, 55-43, last night in a loser-out game. Holy Names will take on Bishop Blanchet, today at 5:30 pm at Franklin High School before both teams will advance to districts next week.
Eastside Catholic 50 Lakeside 37
The #6 seed, Eastside Catholic defeated the #2 seed, Lakeside in a comfortable 13-point lead victory. Eastside Catholic will take on Garfield in the Championship game, tomorrow February 14 at 6 pm at Seattle Pacific University. Lakeside will face the #1 seed, Roosevelt, today at 5:30 pm at West Seattle High School, with both teams advancing to districts next week.
