Sky Sports News report that 35-year-old Joseph Watts has admitted to assault by beating, going onto an area adjacent to the playing area, and throwing a missile onto a football playing area.
As well as the widely-covered kick in the back that Watts was alleged to have given Aaron Ramsdale, Sky report that the Spurs supporter also threw four coins towards the pitch.
Watts has now entered a guilty plea to all three charges.
The fan was charged by the police a month ago after the incident following the match between Arsenal and Spurs on January 15th.
Assault by beating carries a maximum sentence of up to 26 weeks in prison, while it can also carry a fine equal to 150% of a person’s weekly income.
Having been caught on camera during and after the incident, it was always going to be difficult to deny the charges, so Friday’s guilty plea should come as no real surprise.
Further updates on the case should be confirmed in due course.
