Tekken 8 is one of the most visually impressive fighting games ever made with its visual effects and use of slow motion, but what happens when you put it in the hands of someone known for making fighters as flashy as possible?
That’s what Desk set out to do in his awesome new Tekken 8 video that apparently took him 30 hours to capture this final 3 minutes of footage, and it’s certainly worth it.
Part of what took the combo maestro so long to pull all this off was that he actually controls both characters at the same time, which he notes is a bit easier to do than in Street Fighter (presumably because it doesn’t require motion input specials).
Desk also spent a ton of time experimenting using Tekken 8’s slow-mo interactions with a bunch of trial and error to make attacks just barely miss each other to keep the action flowing.
Things start out with Xiaoyu vs. Asuka using throw breaks, side steps, back turn stance, jumps, low sweeps and more to make sure no attack fully lands on either character for basically 25 seconds straight.
Second up is Steve Fox using his sways to perfectly dodge King’s strikes before the wrestler gets to show off his big grabs to punish the cocky boxer.
We’re also treated to some Paul vs. Law action ending in a double KO and Leroy parrying Raven’s ninja tricks before things get even more crazy too.
There’s not much more to say, but to sit back and watch Desk’s new video to have a good time with some fun interactions possible in Tekken 8 that we probably won’t get to see otherwise.
