June 16, 2024 MANHATTAN, New York – Police are investigating separate shooting incidents that left three people dead and several others injured after a violent weekend across New York City.
The most violent incident taking place in the Upper Manhattan neighborhood of Inwood where three people were shot near the 207 St subway station, leaving two men dead, and a third injured late Sunday evening.
According to police officials, a 44-year-old male was shot in the face and pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital.
A 40-year-old male was transported to NY Presbyterian Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest and pronounced deceased.
A 37-year-old male was shot in the leg and last listed in stable condition at Harlem Hospital.
Just before midnight police in the 34 Precint responded to shot spotter technology and located three people shot near W 206th St & 10th Ave in the Inwood neighborhood in Manhattan, NYC.
No reported arrests, police are searching for a suspected gunman dressed in all black and wearing a black ski mask who fled on foot. The alleged shooter was last seen heading eastbound on 206th Street, police radio said.
Earlier in the evening, and only about a mile away from the fatal Inwood shooting, in a separate incident, a 17-year-old boy was shot multiple times and rushed by EMS to Colombia Presbyterian hospital. The boy was last listed in stable condition, cops said.
No arrests in that case and police are searching for two suspected teen shooters who fled on foot.
Just after 11:00 p.m., in the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood in Brooklyn, a 32-year-old male was found shot multiple times in the torso near 254 Ralph Avenue, police said.
The victim was transported by EMS to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 11:30 pm, according to police.
No arrests and detectives working to piece together the moments leading up to the shooting as the investigation is ongoing.
On Saturday June 15, 2024, two people were shot at a smoke shop near the 125th Street 1 line subway station. Blood splatter could be seen on the shop door and at the station entrance in Morningside Heights, Manhattan.
Victims include a 37-year-old male shot in the shoulder and a 20-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the hand. Both Transported to Mt. Sanai Morningside Hospital in stable condition, cops said.
No arrests at this time and the investigation continues.
