Those fortunate enough to be selected to join the closed alpha test of Riot Games’ upcoming Versus-style fighting game are already in the thick of the action. The special 2XKO codes were sent out to the selected players just this morning, and though we’re only concluding the first day of play here, participants can look forward to being able to try the game out for the next week and a half or so.
Considering this is simply an alpha test, it stands to reason that Riot might have to make a few live tweaks during this test period to ensure everything is running smoothly. From the sounds of it, the first fix we can expect to see is scheduled to take place tomorrow, and during that time the test will be taken temporarily offline. Here’s everything you need to know about this maintenance.
The official 2XKO Twitter account put out the announcement just this evening. According to the tweet, the 2XKO Alpha Lab test is being taken offline in order to implement a hotfix for a bug in the casual lobby.
“Alpha lab will be be temporarily taken offline to apply a hotfix,” the tweet reads. “You might be temporarily disconnected but full service should be restored within 30 minutes. Applied at rolling times below.”
Participants in the Americas can expect the test to go offline at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET on August 9. Europe will see their maintenance at 11:30 p.m. GMT also on August 9, and for Japan the fix is taking place at 5 a.m. JST on August 10.
“It’s good news tho, we have a fix for the bug preventing warming up in training mode in the casual lobby while waiting for a match,” the 2XKO Twitter clarified.

Editor in Chief for the game, Ben Forbes, shared instructions on how you can invite a friend to join you during the test. Each player who scored a code also received a “+1 code” that lets you bring in one friend to also try the game out.
Below are some instructions on exactly how to use this code.
