2XKO closed alpha test coming in August, applications now open

After first being revealed to the world almost five years ago, players are about to have their first chance to try the League of Legends fighting game from the comfort of their own home.

Riot Games just announced their 2XKO closed alpha test with applications now open for players to try and get in on the action.

The 2XKO Alpha Lab as they’re calling it is scheduled to run from August 8–19, 2024 in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan and Mexico.

Riot’s first public test is going to be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with one code getting users into the computer version and a console of their choice.

Those chosen will also receive a friend referral link to allow one extra person to get into the alpha as well.

Since this is meant as a network test for the 2v2 fighting game’s online modes, offline play will not be available here, but will be available in the full release next year.

Riot plans to hold more public tests before 2XKO launches too though future dates and times will be revealed later on down the line.

You can apply for the Alpha Lab playtest and find more information on the 2XKO website as well as the video overview below.
