2XKO Alpha Lab end time finally revealed and it's quite a bit later than you'd expect

It took nearly five years since the initial teaser, but 2XKO is finally in the hands of players in certain parts of the world… at least for a little while longer.

Riot Games is in the final full day of the 2XKO Alpha Lab closed test session that’s been going on for over a week, and now we finally have been given a time as to when the servers are supposed to come down.

The limited but fairly lengthy trial period originally kicked off on August 8, so it’s been going nonstop for a week and a half at this point.

If you’re like me and have been trying to find out exactly when the alpha for the League of Legends fighter would end, there wasn’t really a concrete answer.

Heck, I spent extra time playing late last night because I was expecting the servers to go down at midnight pacific, but that obviously didn’t happen.

Their official page just simply said it would end on August 19 without a specific time though that’s apparently not really the case anymore.

Riot took to social media earlier today to give alpha testers a more concrete time they can grind out matches until that should make people happy.

2XKO alpha servers will be taken offline around 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET tomorrow, August 20, so that’s almost a full extra half a day than what most were expecting.

Since this is an early test of the game, players have run into controller issues and other glitches that have hampered the fun a bit, which is to be expected in these circumstances.

There were also concerns and complaints about 2XKO’s control system and being difficult to get used to though we’ve heard less and less of that once players became more accustomed to the 2v2 hyper fighting game.

The developers have stated they’ve already learned a lot from the test and shared some aspects they’d like to change for the full 2XKO release like shortening up the combo routes a tad and more adjustments.

You can also still vote and answer our latest polls about your 2XKO alpha experience and see how other players are feeling about the game.

Riot themselves have an official survey you should fill out as well to let hte developers know directly what you think about their work so far.

2XKO is currently planned to launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC with more tests already being confirmed for the future.
