The Cross River State Government has cancelled the statewide environmental sanitation for the month of April. The cancellation of the sanitation exercise is due to clash with the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Saturday 26 April, 2025.
According to a Public Service Announcement signed by the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Moses Osogi and made available to The Paradise News on Thursday 24 April, 2025, the cancellation is to allow UTME candidates unhindered movement.
“This is to ensure that candidates sitting for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organized by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are not hindered from accessing their examination centres.
