2020: Ayade committed to completion of superhighway, other projects —Hon. Asu

Cross River State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Dane Osim Asu has assured that the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade will complete the superhighway and other projects initiated by him before the expiration of his tenure.
Asu, who gave the assurance Thursday in Calabar shortly after resuming duties as a second term commissioner explained that the super high way was one of the cardinal signatory projects of the Ayade’s administration and will be completed as scheduled.
“It is a cardinal signatory project of the state, it is a road that is supposed to offload from the deep seaport project and the State government has finished primary works at Bakassi.
He said his reappointment as a commissioner has reenergized him saying he was looking forward to the completion of most of the project that have been started by the ministry.
According to him, “projects, construction works in northern senatorial district, in Boki LGA, in Obubura, Obudu, Akpabuyo, and Akamkpa LGA and in the metropolis, will all be given priority attention and completed.
“We look at starting road projects here in the Urban; overlay has already begun here in the city center and we are going to pursue these projects and see to its successful completion in order to give the city a deserving facelift”, he disclosed.
Speaking further, the commissioner, about 17 projects in 17 LGA’s have been completed and commissioned like the Boki bridge adding that projects like the Arthur Jarvis road will be completed amongst others.
He commended his Excellency, Governor Ben Ayade for his prudent management of the available funds and urged Cross Riverians to pray for him and support his vision for the state.
Asu also informed that efforts in recouping the funds the state government has expended on federal roads were being intensified, as according to him “His Excellency Governor Ben Ayade has put in a lot of efforts in that direction and I can assure this effort will yield positive result in 2020”.
