January 10, 2025 BRONX, New York – A teen was stabbed during a physical altercation and left unconscious behind a Bronx NYCHA complex, cops said.
According to police, 14-year-old Caleb Rios was fatally stabbed Friday morning at the rear of the NYCHA Mitchel Houses near E.138th St. & Lincoln Ave. in Mott Haven section of The Bronx
At approximately 9:30am, police responded and located the unresponsive teen with two stab wounds to the chest. The victim was rushed by EMS to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made at this time. Police also searched nearby 3 Avenue -138 St Station 6 line where crime scene tape blocked two entrances.
It’s not known if the knifing started inside the station or if the suspect used the transit system to escape, as the incident is still under investigation.
