February 15, 2025 QUEENS, New York – A teen boy did not survive his injuries after being stabbed multiple times at a New York City McDonald’s on Friday, Feb. 14, cops said.
The victim, now identified as Julian Corniell, 14, a Hillcrest High School student, was critical with stab wounds to the abdomen when rushed by EMS to the New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, officials said.
The young boy was allegedly wounded during a large group brawl that broke out among teenagers in ski masks outside a McDonald’s at around 3:30 p.m., on Queens Boulevard in Sunny Side, Queens, N.Y.
NYPD officers were initially searching for a group of around 10 teens that fled the scene following the stabbing and detained at least two possible suspects for questioning.
A knife believed to be the murder weapon was found by police in the street following the deadly melee.
According to officials, 14-year-old was arrested and charged with first-degree gang assault with additional charges pending as the investigation remains ongoing.
