The Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province on the Niger, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to focused more on job creation to help curbed the growing crime across the country.
He said creation of job opportunities for the youths remain the only way to curbed the ongoing kidnappings, banditry, drug abuses and other social vices that has become the order of the day in Nigeria.
Archbishop Ibezim gave the advised at the 2023 Annual General Harvest Thanksgivings Service organised by the Cathedral Church of St. Faith, Awka, Anambra State, on Sunday.
He described the fuel subsidy removal regime as very challenging to Nigerians to curbed with.

According to him, the Federal Government should used the fund it generate from the removal of subsidy to urgently address the ever deepening poverty and growing youth unemployment among the people, because an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.
The Bishop appealed to the government to introduce more people oriented policies and programmes that would ameliorate the menace.
Ibezim who is also the Dean of the Cathedral however, noted that one major solution to overcoming the economic hardship in the country is for Nigerians to exercise unwavering faith in God.
He urged Nigerians irrespective of political, ethic, tribe and religion placement to always pray for the leaders and for a sustained democracy in the country.
He also appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the Government, prophesizing that the blessings of good governance will surely manifest in Nigeria.
The Chairman of the occasion, Mr. Chibueze Ifediora, on his part, advised Nigeria youths to always partner with God for a lasting wisdom and special grace.
He noted that the partnership is for one to appreciate God Almighty always, because he blessings only those who appreciate him in Harvest and Thanksgiving.
Ifediora who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sinai Oil and Gas, commended the Cathedral for the honour, by appointing him as the Chairman of the 2023 Annual General Harvest Thanksgivings Service.
“The honour had spur me to do more for God and humanity,” he added.
