Cross River State Police Command has arrested 10 Members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB who staged a rally at the Ikom Stadium last month calling for the creation of the Biafrans State.
According to crossriverwatch.com, one of the Spokesperson of MASSOB in Cross River State, Mr. Okon Archibong, confirmed that the state coordinator of the group, Mr. Samuel Okah along with nine others had been arrested. The names of the others are, Shedrack Chinelo, Joseph Ekperebi, Michael Adah, James Ekeme and Adah Johnson.
They were arrested in their various homes at Ikom and Ogoja Local Government Areas respectively.
The source also said, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. John Eluu, said he was not aware of the arrest.
“I am not aware of it. I will confirm if it is true,” Eluu simply said before hanging up.
