10-man Liverpool snatch point vs Fulham as Arsenal, Everton play goalless

Liverpool snatched a late equaliser against Fulham despite playing with 10 men for the most part of their Premier League encounter on Saturday.

It was Diogo Jota who was making a return to the squad after a long absence, who netted an 86th-minute equaliser to seal a 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Cody Gakpo’s header from Mohamed Salah’s sublime cross shortly after half-time had cancelled out Andreas Pereira’s 11th-minute opener.

About six minutes after the opener, the Reds were reduced to 10 men as Andy Robertson was dismissed for denying Harry Wilson a goalscoring opportunity.

At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal were held to a goalless draw by Everton.

In the other Premier League clashes on Saturday, Newcastle United thrashed Leicester City 4-0 while Ipswich Town secured a 2-1 away victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Later on Saturday, Anthony Elanga scored an injury-time winner in a thrilling finish at the City Ground as Nottingham Forest came from 1-0 down to beat Aston Villa 2-1.
